This guide was created for people who
have no clue where to start. For ripping the CD you will
need a software like easy CD-DA Extractor. Please note that
some new CDs have copy protection and this method will
probably not work with it.
First download CD-DA Extractor from:
http://www.poikosoft.com/download.html
Install it and then register it so you
will not have any limitations. Start the program, insert the
Audio CD that you want to rip and choose the drive (Device)
where the Audio CD is located in. After you choose the
drive, the software will automatically connect to CDDB and
will get the names of the songs and the artist (Assuming
that the disk is original or 1:1 copy of an original disk).
You should see something like this (I
used my brothers "The Doors" CD. I wanted to use one of my
R.E.M that I bought, but my brother took them all :-(
):

If you click on the upper left green V
then you can either select all tracks or unselect all
tracks. Click it once if you want to select them all.
Now configure the encoding system to
MP3, and choose 192Kb/sec (192Kb/sec is a good quality, but
128KB/sec also give good results):

Select where you want to save the mp3
files, and then click on Rip CD. Few minutes later
you will have mp3 version of the cd. You can also check the
option to make an M3U playlist which will create a m3u file
which tells WMP or winamp to play the songs 1 after the
other.
Few notes:
- I take no responsibility on the
use that is made with this manual
- I do not encourage people to
download warez or mp3 or to crack CD-DA Extractor. I'm
assuming that you have the original Audio CD and you
want to have mp3 version stored on your computer, or
have it in your IPOD so you could use it while spinning,
walking, doing sport or what ever....
